Is it Spring yet?

Winter hasn’t been too kind to us here in Southern Michigan. We have been dumped on by more snow than our past 2 winters combined! We’ve had our share of freezing rain, drizzle, fog - anything that can freeze, we’ve had it! I’m ready for Spring!
We are beginning to plan some events here at the library in anticipation of better weather.
Our Annual Winter Book sale is set for Feb. 2 - 7 during regular library hours. Its a great time to stock up on books - at $1.00 a bag.
Our 6th Annual American Girl Party is scheduled for Feb. 21st at the Camden Methodist Church. This year, we are featuring Addy.
We are also planning a computer class called “An Introduction to HeritageQuest” some time in March (our date is not finalized yet). This is a basic how-to class to show patrons how to use the HeritageQuest database available to Michigan residents free through MeL (Michigan Electronic Library).
We are also looking to host an “Ebay Basics” class in cooperation of our local post office.
We will be having a special “March is Reading Month” reading incentive for all ages - watch for details soon!
With Easter coming soon, we will be hosting the Annual Camden Easter Egg Hunt on April 11th. Hopefully, we won’t be snowed in like last year!
Our Teen Advisory Council will be having a meeting in March to discuss our Summer Reading Plans.
And that’s just what is being planned for the next couple months! There is also Summer Reading plans in the works! Keep checking for more details on all of our upcoming events. If you have a suggestion for a program here at the library, feel free to let me know. I’d love to hear from you.
